Biography

Rashid Ali Rana is a leading Pakistani contemporary visual artist known for his large-scale conceptual works that examine themes of identity, history, and the complexities of modern Pakistan. He studied at the National College of Arts in Lahore and has exhibited his work at major international galleries and biennales. His Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2021 recognised his significant contributions to Pakistani visual arts and his role in raising Pakistan's international artistic profile.
